RANDALL -- James D. Magee, 70, Randall, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
He was born July 2, 1931, in Little Falls to Donald and Loretta Magee. He grew up in Randall and attended school both in Randall and Little Falls. After high school graduation, he enlisted in the Army in 1949 and served for two years. He married Jacquelyn Andersen on June 30, 1956, in Randall. They lived in Randall where he owned a beef cattle and hog farm. He was also involved in the family meat market. He was a member of the Minnesota Cattleman's Association. He was a member of the Randall Volunteer Fire Department for more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Randall School Board and the Randall City Council.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Kevin Magee, Buffalo, Mike Magee, Rice Lake, Wis., Steven and Chris Magee, both of Randall; two daughters, Beth Magee-Beyer, Centerville, Lori Magee-Hill, St. Cloud; 15 grandchildren; and two sisters, Sharon and Kathryn Magee, both of Plano, Texas.
An infant son and a brother, Keith, died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Randall Presbyterian Church in Randall with the Rev. Dan Leighton officiating. Burial will be in Randall City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the church and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. A prayer service will be 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Military rites will be conducted by Randall VFW Post 9073.
Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
