Crow Wing Republicans to caucus at 4 sites on Tuesday

The Crow Wing County Republicans encourage all Republicans to attend the precinct caucus to be conducted Tuesday at the following locations:

• Baxter: Forestview Middle School, 12149 Knollwood Drive.

• Crosby: Crosby-Ironton High School, 711 Poplar St.

• Nisswa: Nisswa Elementary School, 5533 County Road 18.

• Crosslake: The Old Fire Hall, 36974 County Road 66.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Caucuses begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. with candidates or their representatives delivering brief remarks. At 7 p.m. the group will divide by precincts. There will be a straw poll for governor, request for resolutions to the party platform and election of delegates and alternates.

The following precincts will be meeting at the locations listed above:

Baxter: All precincts in Brainerd and Baxter, Red, White and Blue precincts, Crow Wing, Daggett, Fort Ripley precincts, Long Lake, Oak Lawn and St. Mathias precincts.

Crosby: All Crosby, Ironton, Deerwood, Cuyuna, Emily, Riverton, Trommald, Garrison and Bay Lake precincts, Dean Lake, Irondale, Maple Grove, Nokay Lake, Perry Lake, Platte Lake, Rabbit Lake, Roosevelt and Wolford precincts.

Crosslake: All Crosslake, Jenkins, Manhattan Beach and Fifty Lakes precincts, Fairfield, Gail Lake, Little Pine, Ross Lake and Timothy precincts.

Nisswa: Breezy Point, Nisswa and Pequot Lakes, Center, Ideal, Lake Edward Mission and Pelican townships.

Independence Party

BREEZY POINT - Voters who wish to caucus with the Independence Party of Minnesota may choose from two options - in person or online.

Residents of several northern and central Minnesota counties will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Billy's at Breezy Point at 30898 Ranchette Drive, Breezy Point.

Residents of Aitkin, Beltrami, Cass, Crow Wing, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake Of The Woods and Morrison counties may attend the Independence Party caucus at Billy's at Breezy Point, 30898 Ranchette Drive, Breezy Point.

Voters unable to attend their precinct caucus may participate in an online caucus at: www.independenceminnesota.org/ through March 2.

Caucus attendees vote on convention delegates, local area resolutions and the Independence Party of Minnesota platform. Those attending the caucus have the opportunity to participate in a gubernatorial straw poll for candidates seeking the Independence Party endorsement.

Cass County Republicans

Cass County Republicans will meet at six different locations at 7 p.m. Tuesday to propose party platform resolutions and conduct a gubernatorial straw poll.

The locations are Pine River High School, 810 First St. N., Pine River; Pike Bay Town Hall, 15514 State Highway 371 NW, Cass Lake; Walker-Hackensack-Akeley High School, 301 Fourth St., Walker; Northland High School, 316 Main St. E., Remer; Pillager High School cafeteria, 323 East Second St., Pillager; and Longville City Hall, 5220 State Highway 84, Longville.

The locations where specific precincts will meet are:

PINE RIVER - Ansel, Barclay, Birch Lake, Blind Lake, Bull Moose, Bungo, Deerfield, Hiram, Loon Lake, Maple, McKinley, Moose Lake, Pine River, Ponto Lake, Poplar, Powers, Walden and Wilson townships; and Backus, Chickamaw Beach, Hackensack and Pine River cities.

PIKE BAY TOWN HALL - Bena, Cass Lake, Hardwood South, Sucker Lakes, Willow River and Winnie Portage Lakes communities; and Ottertail Peninsula, Pike Bay and Wilkinson townships.

WALKER-HACKENSACK-AKELEY HIGH SCHOOL - Leech Lake, Pine Lake, Shingobee, Turtle Lake townships; Rogers Point, Walker communities.

NORTHLAND HIGH SCHOOL - Beulah, Boy Lake, Boy River, Crooked Lake, Gould, Lima, Remer, Rogers, Salem, Slater, Smoky Hollow, Thunder Lake, Torrey, Trelipe townships; Boy River, Federal Dam, Remer, Wahnena communities.

PILLAGER HIGH SCHOOL - Becker, Byron, Fairview, Homebrook, May, Meadowbrook, Sylvan townships; East Gull Lake, Lake Shore, Motley, Pillager cities

LONGVILLE CITY HALL - Inguadona, Kego, Wabedo, Woodrow townships; Longville city.
