Matt J. Pecarich

CROSBY -- Matt Joseph Pecarich, 82, Crosby, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

He was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Ironton to Peter and Veronica (Perpich) Pecarich. He married Juneal Sue Dahl on May 18, 1946, in Brainerd. He was a retired Inland Steel employee with 25 years of service and was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, Pittsburgh.

Survivors include his wife; a son, John Pecarich, Brainerd; two daughters, Cissy Mussell, Brainerd, and Joanie Rud, Plymouth; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, John Pecarich, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and two sisters, Kay Dean and Ann Brill, both of St. Paul.

Two brothers, Pete Pecarich and John Pecarich, and a sister, Eva Pecarich, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Koop Funeral Home in Crosby with Father Howard Eisel officiating. Military rites will be given by the Myrin James American Legion Post No. 443 of Ironton.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
