LITTLE FALLS -- Regina Hulda Hanneman, 86, Little Falls, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls.
She was born May 10, 1916, in Long Prairie Township to Hugo and Martha (Dehn) Kuehne. She married Ewald H. Hanneman on June 27, 1940, near Long Prairie. The couple lived in Sauk Centre for eight years and also in Clear Lake and St. Cloud until coming to Little Falls in 1954 where they farmed until 1962. She worked at Munsingwear, the Lutheran Home doing physical therapy for five years and then managed the Cliffwood Motel until retiring to Long Lake near Burtrum in 1970. She returned to Little Falls in 1979. She became a resident of the Lutheran Care Center in March 2001. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Little Falls Senior Citizen Center where she served on the board.
Survivors include a son, Larry E. Hanneman, Petal, Miss.; a daughter, Joyce L. Gwost, Little Falls; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Walter Kuehne, Redding, Calif., John Kuehne, St. Cloud, and Mark Kuehne, Detroit Lakes; and a sister, Lenora Ciaccio, Rockford, Ill.
Her husband and 11 siblings, Rudolph Kuehne, Esther Bliese, Kurt Kuehne, Hugo Kuehne, Edmund Kuehne, William Kuehne, Augusta German, Henry Kuehne, Martha Lambrecht, Werner Kuehne and Ruth Kuehne, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Martin Langemo officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Swanville.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. and an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
