Celebrating recycling

Seventh- and eighth-grade Forestview Middle School students celebrated Thursday with a reception honoring the Builders Club at the school. The club, under the direction of adviser Dalen Hodge, has received grants from the Brainerd Kiwanis Club, Youth as Resources and Crow Wing Power to purchase 98 classroom bins and 20 desk bins. The collection of recyclable materials at the school saves $300 a month in the amount of trash picked up by Blue Lakes Disposal. Brainerd Dispatch/Steve Kohls
