STAPLES -- Staples Motley Community Education offers the following classes.

Paint your own Summer

Outdoors Scene

Participants will create a small canvas oil painting. An area painter will teach this hands-on class, step by step.

Class will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 15 and 22, in Room 602 at Staples Motley High School. Registrations must be made by Feb. 2 for this class. Call 894-2497 to register.

How to Publish What You Write

This class will cover how to get started, the basics of writing, simple tips on good grammar, choosing the right words, finer points of writing fiction and non-fiction, news writing and more. Participants must bring pen and paper.

Four sessions will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays beginning Feb. 7 in Room 103 at Staples Motley High School. Call 894-2497 to register.

Creative Scrapbooking

Participants will create a photo-safe album that can be used to preserve memorable moments. Bring 15-20 photos of the same theme.

Class will meet from 6:45 to 9:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, in Room 100 at Staples Motley High School. Call 894-2497 to register.

Advanced Scrapbooking
