Smell the coffee in Crosby
It would seem Crosby schools have had the luxury of small class sizes for years, while neighboring school districts have packed in the kids ... It appears you have had a cakewalk over the years and now it's time to pay the piper. Please don't expect taxpayers to feel sorry for you when you are being reduced back to "normal" just to save the district from going bankrupt. Teachers, you can do the good job with fewer of you teaching, just as fewer administration can also accomplish the basic needs of the district. ...
War monger and coward
Well, our illustrious president did it again. He is not only a war monger but now he is a coward. Instead of staying in Washington, D.C., last weekend, he decided to skip town and go to the president's secret hiding place at Camp David so he wouldn't have to face, see and watch the thousands of "war protesters" who met in the city. He's not going to be the favorite in 2004 if he keeps this up.
Medical records
If the state insists on snooping into our medical records, it will result in less medical care instead of more. There will be some people who have had an abortion, that have AIDS, maybe other sexually transmitted diseases, that won't go to doctors and be treated because they know their records are going to be open to scrutiny by others. ... I hope that now that there's more publicity, people will really pay attention and (see) their rights are being violated.
Home, nursing care truths
Home care and nursing homes need enough money to pay good wages to people who care for our elderly and hire more people. When the political pie comes up to be divided, our elderly always get less than they need to begin with and then they get cut first. It's high time the money goes to the elderly this legislative session. If we are going to war, we might as well go to war on our homeland for care of elderly and medicine.
