Lindy Little Joe, Brainerd, acquired the assets of the Old Bayside brand of fishing tackle from Fish Allure Inc. in Alabama.
"Lindy is very excited to make a significant move into the expanding market of salt water fishing with a broad product line of soft plastic baits that is quickly catching on with avid anglers across in-shore coastal waters," Ted Takasaki, Lindy Little Joe Inc. president, said in a news release.
Howard Hammonds, previously Old Bayside sales manager, will take over as Lindy's new southern region sales and marketing manager.
Jay Blake, a long-time area planning specialist, is leaving the field.
The former Crow Wing County planning and zoning administrator has most recently been involved in lakes area planning efforts in the private sector. He worked for Landecker and Associates, Pequot Lakes, and currently for Dahlgren Shardlow and Uban, St. Cloud. But after years of facilitating meetings with area residents and trying to get a glimpse at the future, Blake is leaving DSU to join Thrivent Financial. He will have an office in Princeton and work in a coverage area that includes St. Cloud.
