PEQUOT LAKES -- A former Pequot Lakes man will have his chance at sitting in the hot seat on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" The show airs at 8 p.m. Sunday on ABC.
Lt. Eric Wenschlag, 26, the son of Barb Wenschlag of Pequot Lakes and Gary Wenschlag of Dakota Dunes, S.D., was selected as a finalist on the popular television game show.
Wenschlag is a radar intercept officer in the VF-11 squadron of the Navy, also called the Red Rippers. He and his wife, Amy, live in Virginia Beach, Va.
Fund established for Pine River man
PINE RIVER -- A fund has been established at Pine River State Bank for Harlan Spitzack, an independent logger from Pine River, who was injured Dec. 31 in a serious automobile accident.
Contributions can be made to the Harlan Spitzack Family Fund at any of the Pine River State Bank branches in Emily, Pillager, Breezy Point and Pine River.

Dial-A-Ride, construction topics of Brainerd meeting
The Brainerd Safety and Public Works Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at city hall to discuss construction projects and Dial-A-Ride.
Civil service meeting scheduled Monday
The Brainerd Police and Fire Civil Service Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at city hall to review civil service rules in patrol officer testing.
