Stellar performance
Sally Leek submitted this photograph of her son, David, competing in July in the USA Special Olympic Nationals in Ames, Iowa. "We family, friends were so proud of him. He did a great job representing the state of Minnesota," Sally Leek wrote. He competed in the 400-meter run, 200-meter dash and the 100-meter dash. He earned silver and bronze medals as well as a fourth-place ribbon. Sally wrote, "David also earned tickets to a Twins game, a $500 Visa and a baseball autographed by Harmon Killebrew for selling the most raffles to help the Minnesota team go to the Nationals. He worked really hard selling the raffle tickets. He sold 1,000 tickets," Sally Leek wrote.
