Warrior nordic skiers fourth, 10th at meet

CAMP RIPLEY -- The Brainerd Warriors girls' nordic ski team was fourth and the boys' team 10th at the Little Falls Invitational Tuesday.

The Warrior girls were paced by Christina Roberts who placed 15th in 19:00 and Anna Mangan who placed 17th.

Megan Germscheid finished 16th for the Flyer girls who finished eighth.

The Brainerd boys were paced by Chris Endreson who finished 27th and Ben Johnson who was 35th.

"This is a popular race because it's run on the section meet course and is a really nice venue to ski at," Brainerd boys' coach Chris Hanson said. "Ben Johnson skied an excellent race today. He showed a lot of improvement technically from where he was at the beginning of the year."

Little Falls top finisher in the boys' race was Jason Thielen in 11th place at 15:52. Matt Krousey was 12th and Josh Gold 13th for the Flyers, who placed fifth.
