DULUTH - Brainerd's Taryn Ruttger won the individual title and helped the Warrior girls' team to the championship in the Duluth East Alpine skiing invitational Thursday at Spirit Mountain.
It was Ruttger's fifth podium finish of the season, including Friday's Welch Invitational where skiers in the top 10 made the podium due to the number of competitors.
Chelsea Williams was fifth and Anna Goochey eighth to round out the top 10 for the Warrior girls, who have won three of their last four meets.
In the boys' meet, Brainerd was second. Thomas Ruttger placed seventh and Jacob Morey eighth for Brainerd's top 10 finishers.
Defending champion Tom Lyscio of Brainerd was in first place after his first run but fell on his second and finished 12th.
