ST. PAUL (AP) -- Minnesota is growing more diverse, yet minority children remain behind in key demographic measurements, such as infant mortality and graduation rates.
The Children's Defense Fund, in its annual report on the status of Minnesota's children being released Wednesday, found one in six children in the state are members of a minority group. Blacks are the largest minority group and the Hispanic population is growing the fastest.
