W-DC's Lepper, Asfeld combine for 48 in win

WADENA - Matt Lepper scored 25 points and Donny Tabery added 23 for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in Monday's 79-65 non-conference boys' basketball victory over the Crookston Pirates.

Tabery added seven assists and six steals and Lepper recorded seven rebounds to help W-DC improve to 9-3.

Scott Syverson drained two 3-pointers to finish with 12 points and Cory Asfeld and Zach Toedter each scored nine for W-DC.

LAPORTE - Eric Bolduc scored 12 points and Jacob Jensen added 11 points and six rebounds for the Lake Region Christian School Hornets in a 67-51 boys' basketball loss to Laporte Monday.

The defeat drops the Hornets to 6-6 on the season. Levi Skog added 10 points and Austin Ellstrom scored eight for Lake Region.

Laporte's Taylor Day led all scorers with 26 points.
