Man injured in snowmobile mishap

BAXTER -- A 34-year-old Maple Grove man suffered a leg injury Friday afternoon when the snowmobile he was riding struck the railroad tracks just south of Highway 210 near the Meredith Drive intersection, the Baxter Police Department reported.

Joel Oakland was driving with a group of snowmobilers when he was thrown from his sled. The accident was reported about 2:40 p.m. Oakland was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. The Brainerd Fire Department also responded to the scene.

Two-car collision injures one

IRONTON -- A two-car collision about 12:37 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 12 in Ironton injured one.

Driver Amanda Skinaway, 40, was transported to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby after her vehicle was rear-ended. The driver of the other vehicle was Thomas Addington, 27.
