LITTLE FALLS -- William L. Randall, 85, Little Falls, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls.
He was born Dec. 21, 1915, in St. Cloud to William and Ethel Anna Francis (McManus) Randall. As a young boy, the family moved to Little Falls where he graduated from high school. After graduation he entered the Army in Oct. 10, 1920, and served with 752 Railroad Operating Battalion in Camp Plauche, La. He was discharged Dec. 31, 1944, in Fort Snelling. He then worked for Northern Pacific Railroad in Little Falls for 45 years. He was a member of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, American Legion and the Brotherhood of Retired Railroad Workers.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard Randall, Plymouth, and Donald Randall, Aurora; three sisters, Bernice Brown, Little Falls, and Judy Sroka and Ethel Ladage, both of Cloquet.
His sister, Evelyn Travis, died earlier.
Services were 11 a.m. Monday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls with Rev. Steve Priola officiating. Burial will be Tuesday in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
