LONSDALE -- John E. Dexter, 31, Lonsdale, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, as a result of a construction accident in Eagan.
He was born April 7, 1969, in Colfax, Wash., to John and Thora Dexter. He graduated from a high school in Billings, Mont., and attended college at Wyoming State University. He moved to Minnesota where he was employed as an iron worker for Champion Erector & Linco Co. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local No. 512.
Survivors include his fiancee, Sherry Pewaush, Lonsdale; his mother, Thora Dexter, Billings, Mont.; two sons, Isaac and Caleb Dexter, both of Benteen, Mont.; a daughter, Deilyah Dexter, Lonsdale; two stepdaughters, Raeanna and Ferole Howe, Benteen, Mont.; a brother, Esco Bell, South Bend, Wash.; and four sisters, Juana Bell, Portland, Ore., Martha Ahl, Beaverton, Ore., and Steely and Jovauxna Dexter, both of Sandpoint, Ind.
His father and grandparents died earlier.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Mille Lacs Community Center in Onamia with Lee Staples officiating. Burial will be in Ballantine, Mont., at a later date.
Friends may call 4 p.m. Monday at the community center.
