W-DC downs Marshall

MARSHALL --The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines boys' hockey team began the first part of their two game road trip with an 8-1 triumph over the Marshall Tigers in non-conference action on Friday.

Jason Merickel and Jeff Metzdorff each tallied one goal and added two assists for the Wolverines. Andrew Stearns and Josh Schumacher contributed one goal and one assist for W-DC which improved to 10-4 overall.

CROSBY -- The 10th ranked Park Rapids Panthers blanked the Crosby-Ironton-Aitkin Rangers 7-0 in a Mid State Conference boys hockey game Friday night.

The Rangers now fall to 7-7-1 overall and go 0-4 in the Mid-State Conference.

The next Ranger game will be at Moose Lake Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
