Open Forum: Unfair competition with Anytime Fitness
It was very disappointing to hear that the city of Crosslake has gone ahead and expanded their recreational center into a full health fitness club. There was clearly no need to spend the estimated $55,000 to go into this venture when you have a facility such as Anytime Fitness located right in that town. Anytime Fitness provides an excellent health club for the people of that area.

CROSBY - Megan Zillmer had 23 points, including a game-winning 3-point shot with less than two seconds left in overtime, to give the Rangers a 63-62 victory over Cloquet Saturday.

CLC men win on Washington 3
The Central Lakes College men's basketball team resembled a desperate homeowner fixing a leaking pipe with duct tape Saturday. It sure wasn't pretty, but the Raiders got the job done.

Warriors win fourth straight section title
Depth and three individual victories helped the Brainerd Warriors capture their fourth straight Section 8-2A True Team swimming and diving championship Saturday at Elk River High School.

Bresnahan wins 100th, Road Crew fourth
OSAKIS - Pat Bresnahan won his 100th career match and the Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus Road Crew wrestling team took fourth place in the Osakis dual tournament Saturday, finishing the day with 1-2 team record.
