Irene D. Jackson

CROSBY - Irene D. Jackson, age 88, of Crosby, died on Jan. 17, 2009, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born on Feb. 4, 1920, in Ironton to Harley and Lila (Jennison) Haugen. She was a retired employee of the First National Bank of Crosby.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby and a 50-year member of the Myrin-James American Legion Auxiliary, Ironton.

She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette Littlefield; daughter-in-law, Mary Johnson, Crosby; one brother, Harvey (Nellie) Haugen; three sisters, Jeanne Gumlia, JoAnne (Richard) Brummet and Carol Lamp; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Edward Johnson; three husbands, Edward Johnson, Leo Brown and William Jackson; two brothers, Harold and Harley Haugen; and one sister, Elaine Spangenberg.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
