Special Olympians skate at Gregory Park

Ice skating and speed skating for Special Olympians is being hosted by Brainerd Parks and Recreation every Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Gregory Park rink.

Ice skates are available at the rink.

Freshman A team 8-1

The Brainerd freshmen A boys' basketball team improved to 8-1 with a 45-43 win over Buffalo Saturday.

Brainerd was led by Jack Sauer with seven points. Tony Sauer, Jacob Blong, Marcus Comstock and Conner Bowman had six apiece and Ian Haug and Chris Bowman each had five.

Brainerd trailed by 15 in the first half and rallied to take the lead with less than a minute left in regulation. Tony Sauer blocked a 3-point attempt at the buzzer to seal the victory.
