RANDALL -- Arline Elizabeth Skoog, 83, Randall, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at St. Benedict's Center in St. Cloud.
She was born Jan. 13, 1917, in Bristow, Neb., to Albin and Mabel (Landholm) Holmgren. She attended school in Randall. She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1935. She received normal training in Little Falls to become a country school teacher. She married Kenneth Skoog on June 6, 1943, at the Randall Presbyterian Church in Randall. They lived in Clough Township, north of Randall. She was a charter member of the Sew-Sew Club and Social Hour Club in Randall. She was also a member of the Morrison County Nurses Auxiliary, the Randall Presbyterian Church and the Morrison County Christian Women, did volunteer work and was a key leader for Randall Rockets 4-H club.
Survivors include a son, James Skoog, Randall; two daughters, Marlys Olson, Randall, and Karen Young, Sauk Rapids; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin Holmgren, Waite Park; and a sister, Helen Pesonen, Plymouth.
A brother, Wilton Holmgren, died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Randall with the Rev. Dwight Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Randall City Cemetery.
Friends may call at Shelley Funeral Chapel of Little Falls from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from noon-1 p.m. Thursday.
