The Brainerd Warriors boys' basketball team will host Class 4A's fourth-ranked St. Cloud Tech Tigers on Pack the Gym night Thursday.
At halftime the Alexandria Aces performance team will entertain. The Aces consist of boys and girls ages 5-12. Their show includes dribbling, juggling and spinning feats, which have been seen by more than one million fans in the U.S. and Canada.
Boxers compete
Four members of the Golden Lakes Boxing Club competed on a Golden Gloves Boxing card Thursday at Duluth.
Cole Hatcher, 65 pounds, lost a decision to Evan Wrazidlo, Duluth.
Rick Hatcher, 150, lost to Randall George Jr. of Duluth.
Evan Doucette, 150, lost to Zach Overforce of Duluth.
Justin Porter, 190, lost to Al Sands of Duluth.
YMCA Drop-in Sports to begin Monday
Starting Monday the Brainerd Family YMCA will be offering drop-in dodgeball on Mondays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and basketball on Mondays from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Registration is not necessary. The program is open to Brainerd High School students. Teams will be formed daily. The cost for each drop-in session is $5.
