HIBBING -- Chris Beckley tallied 19 points and 14 rebounds to lift the Central Lakes College Raiders men's basketball team to a 83-65 North Division victory over Hibbing Saturday.
Danny Kimman connected on three 3-pointers in the first half to open up a zone defense Hibbing used to try to stop the Raiders.
"Going on the road like we did and playing defense like we did was a plus," said Raiders coach Jim Russell. "Hibbing sat in a zone making us prove we could shoot from the outside and we did.
"They double and triple teamed Leonard Langdon and so he ended up dishing out 12 assists."
Eleven different Raiders scored with Louis Roseman the only other in double figures with 14.
"It was a very good team effort. From the start we attacked down inside and it showed as it opened up the outside shots," said Russell. "It was a very good win for us on the road."
