Edna M. Tidrick, 89, Brainerd, died on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. She was born April 7, 1917, in Rock Island, Ill., to Charles and Lena Bandlow. She married Elmer Tidrick on March 22, 1934, in Motley, Minn. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd. She was employed for many years at the Brainerd state hospital.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Tidrick, of Brainerd, and James Tidrick, of Minneapolis; her daughters, Joyce (Russell) Caughey, of Brainerd, and Nancy (Bernard) Kienow, of Dayton, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; one daughter, Winifred Olson; and three sisters.
Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd with Pastor Harold Tongen officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. A memorial service also will be held at a later date at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.
