"To the Castle," a dinner theater at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, will be performed Jan. 23-25. Dinner will be at 6 p.m., with the performance at 7 p.m. Tickets, which include dinner and the show, are $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
The musical, "To the Castle," provides the message of people's purpose in God's kingdom. The show is being replayed following a late November snowstorm that canceled a previous performance.
Randy Stonehill to perform
Randy Stonehill, a pioneer Christian rock musician, will perform 7 p.m. Saturday at Franklin Junior High School. Brainerd's The Journey North Community Church and Pequot Lakes' North Creek Church are co-sponsoring the free event.
Sunday forum series
First Congregational United Church of Christ, Brainerd, will continue its Sunday forum series with a presentation Sunday by Central Lakes College sociology instructor Gary Payne. He will speak and show slides concerning his and his son's trip to Bolivia this past August. The forums start at 11 a.m. following the 10 a.m. service. The church is at 415 Juniper St. across from the southwest corner of Gregory Park.
Catholics Returning Home
The Brainerd Area Catholic Churches will conduct an ongoing series called Catholics Returning Home at 7 p.m. on six consecutive Mondays in the St. Francis Hall starting Monday. These sessions are for non-practicing Catholics who are seeking answers to questions about returning to the church. There will be informal sharing and an update of the Catholic faith. Brainerd Assembly of God to host guest speaker
The Brainerd Assembly of God Church will have a guest speaker, the Rev. Gus Tidlund, at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Tidlund and his wife, Karrie, are nationally appointed U.S. missionaries with the Assemblies of God. He is the executive director/president of the Minnesota Urban Ministry Institute.
They have been serving in urban ministry for more than 10 years.
