Flyers rout Prairie Center

Posted: Saturday, January 15, 2005

LITTLE FALLS -- Steven Festler is the top scorer in Little Falls boys' hockey history, but it was a different Festler who lit the scoreboard for the Flyers Friday.

Jared Festler registered three goals and one assist as Little Falls beat Section 4, Class 1A opponent Prairie Centre 6-1.

"He was just a force out there with his stickhandling and hard work around the net," said Flyers coach Tony Couture. "His scrappy play attributed to all three of his goals."

The Flyers' freshman center now has 10 goals and 24 points on the season.

Lukas Jorgensen tallied his eighth goal of the season and 18th point. Zack Beattie registered his first goal of the season. Mikael Lickteig finished off the scoring for Little Falls, which improved to 6-0 in the section and 13-5 overall.

Flyers goalie Paddy Stoy finished with 12 saves.
