AITKIN -- Jessica Lea Van Horn, age 22, of Aitkin, died on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, as the result of a car accident. She was born on March 13, 1982, in Crosby to Jeffery and Cheryl (Christenson) Van Horn. She graduated from Aitkin High School in 2000. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and SADD. She attended Central Lakes College and UMD. She was studying to be a graphics designer. Presently she was employed by Garrison Disposal as a truck driver.
She is survived by her parents, Jeffery and Cheryl Van Horn, of Aitkin; a sister, Robin, of Aitkin; her fiance, Tony Sellers, of Tamarack; her grandparents, Roy and Virginia Van Horn, of Aitkin, grandpa Hap Broich, of Detroit Lakes, and her stepgrandpa, Marvin Christenson, of Aitkin; godparents, Bob and Patty Nicko, of Aitkin; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Aitkin with Pastor David Becker officiating. Interment will be in the Spencer Cemetery in Aitkin. Friends may call at the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. There will be visitation on Sunday at the church one hour before the services. Arrangements are with the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
