Neal and Leandra to perform at Friends of the Arts dinner
AITKIN -- The Friends of the Arts' midwinter dinner will be Feb. 7 at Westside Calvary Church in Aitkin.
Tickets are $25 for Friends of the Arts members, or $30 for non-members at the Aitkin Independent Age, or call (218) 549-3221.
Dinner will be catered by Terry Dox, head chef at Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge, and entertainment will be provided by folk singer/songwriter duo Neal and Leandra.
Neal Hagberg and Leandra Peak took detours from other careers to be folk singers -- Hagberg from going to medical school, and Peak from international business. They combine their music with funny stories.
They married in 1989 and were signed by Columbia Artists management and record on Red House Records. They have released six CDs and have performed in almost every state.
