It's fun watching the Brainerd City Council and Bob Olson's show and reading the paper the last few months. Olson cares so much about Brainerd and Missota that, even after he and the city council voted to not have their attorneys do anymore concerning Missota, he made calls to them for more information, creating more bills for the city without the council's OK. One has to wonder if he'd bothered to show up for the emergency December meeting of the EDA (which he is a member), if he wouldn't have gotten that information? Thanks, Mr. Olson, for your double standards.
Thanks, Lucy Nesheim
Thank you for standing up to the other weak-kneed council members concerning Missota Paper. As a worker at the plant we greatly appreciate everything that was done to get the plant up and running again. There was about 150 people at the plant making a decent wage with benefits, not like the big superstores that are popping up in our area now. A viable business doesn't get up and fly in six months. Give it a chance. They are trying to make it go and they want to grow and help the people in this area.
Wants more coverage
In was good to see the shooting article/picture on the front page in the wake of your diversity articles. Let's have more coverage on the known gang activity in Brainerd.
