The Race Minnesota Modified Series, an open wheel modified racing series set to debut in 2010 at Minnesota race tracks, has reached a joint sanctioning and promotional agreement with the United States Modified Touring Series to produce the inaugural Big Daddy 37 Labor Day Modified Extravaganza at North Central Speedway south of Brainerd on Sept. 6.
Open wheel modified fans will be treated to a show with the combined effort of the regional RACEMN sanctioned three classes and the modifieds of the USMTS National Tour battling for the season-long title in the hunt for the USMTS national championship.
"We had a great show with the USMTS in 2009 and found a way to showcase them again with our partners at RACEMN," said North Central Speedway promoter Tim Boeder. "We want to put an exclamation point on the end of the season with the biggest modified show the state of Minnesota will ever see."
Details are in the planning stages. More information will be released soon.
NCS is a semi-banked one-third clay oval located five miles south of Brainerd on Business Highway 371.
