Leslie Satre

Leslie Satre, 80, Brainerd, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at home.

He was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Brainerd to Ole and Lina (Kopperstad) Satre. He graduated from Brainerd High School. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1942-1945. He married June Rice on Jan. 11, 1946, in Brainerd. They moved to Vancouver, Wash., in 1952. He worked for Del Monte until his retirement. They returned to Brainerd in 1994. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Nisswa.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael and Craig Satre, both of Vancouver, Wash.; three grandchildren; and a brother, Melvin Satre, Tacoma, Wash.

A sister, and three brothers, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Community Church in Nisswa with the Rev. Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery in Camp Ripley. Memorials are preferred to Christ Community Church.
