Florence L. Buck

OSAGE -- Florence Leona Buck, 76, Osage, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at St. Joseph's Area Hospital in Park Rapids.

She was born Nov. 20, 1925, near Park Rapids to Francis and Minnie (Armbruster) Graves. She attended country school in the Lake Emma and Arago Townships. She worked in several area resorts and restaurants. She married George Buck Sr. on Aug. 26, 1942. They moved to Osage in 1958. She worked at Doc's Cafe in Osage and Antler's and Main Street Cafe in Park Rapids in the 1960s and 1970s.

Survivors include six daughters, Joyce Kendall, Osage, Gloria Buck, Brainerd, Shirley Hilden, Deerwood, Linda Crandall, Long Prairie, Reta Froemming, Detroit Lakes, and Donna Clarke, Detroit Lakes; two sons, George Buck Jr., Osage, and Francis Buck, Romeoville, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Her husband and two sisters, Alice and Doris, died earlier.

Services were today at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids with the Rev. Bill Meyer and Pastor Anthony Hilden officiating. Burial was in Osage Cemetery.

Arrangements were with Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids.
