Madeline Erickson

PEQUOT LAKES -- Madeline Erickson, 79, Pequot Lakes, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at St. Joseph's Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Claus and Catherine (Hughes) Erickson. She was a graduate of Drake University in 1943 and was a member of Kappa Alfa Theta Fraternity. After graduation she became a member of the USO during World War II and served in Pensicola, Fla., and Portsmouth, Va. For several years, she was an alumnus registrar at Drake University. She became a field representative for the C.E. Erickson Manufacturing Co. and traveled extensively. She retired and moved to Crosslake.

Survivors include nephews and nieces.

Two brothers, Robert and Dale, died earlier.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines, Iowa. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the oncology department at Brainerd Medical Center.
