Lorenz, Quast tops in Resolution Run
Mitch Lorenz and Michaela Quast won titles and were among 54 runners who competed in sub-zero temperatures on New Year's Day to participate in the 5-kilometer Resolution Run and 1-mile walk at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.
Lorenz was the first male across the finish line at 18:57. Second place went to Cory Kuglin at 20:43, third to Shannon Finnegan at 21:00, fourth to Chris Hanson at 21:20 and fifth to Marcus Garrow at 21:51.

Quast was the fastest female at 24:00. Following in second place was Sarah Fairbanks at 25:17, third went to Vickie Quast at 26:35, fourth to Katie Hutchison at 27:52 and fifth to Tiffany Nelson 29:00.
Kathy Donnelly and Jill Olson won the 1-mile walk. Dennis Peterson and Laura Hanson were second.
