Mary Helena Bible, age 90, of Brainerd, Minn., died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at St. Joseph's Medical Center surrounded by family. She was born Dec. 30, 1916, on a farm in Bisbee, N.D., to Peter and Katharina Weltin. She attended teacher's college in Cando, N.D., and business college in Fargo, N.D. She later taught school in a one-room school house. She married Raymond Peter Bible, an "aviator from Minnesota" in Bisbee, N.D., on July 5, 1948. They resided in Brainerd, Minn., all their married lives where she continued to live until her death. She loved her family more than anything, her flower gardens, playing games and cards. She was game to try anything. She had a quest for knowledge and a zest for life. She was a very spiritual person and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the guild. She is survived by six children, Larry (Joyce) Bible, of Brainerd, John (Sarah) Bible, of Statesville, N.C., Colleen Wroolie, of Brainerd, Steve (Cassie) Bible, of Brainerd, Kathryn (Lee) Hauble, of Brainerd, Peter (Ev) Bible, of Circle Pines, Minn.; and 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; a very special nephew, Pat Sauer, plus numerous other nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; and her granddaughter, Melissa Bible.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Monday.
