VIRGINIA - C.J. Peeters scored 22 points, pulled down five rebounds and handed out four assists as the Central Lakes College men's basketball team used their trademark stingy defense to stifle the Mesabi Norse in a 78-49 North Division victory Saturday.
"It was a big road win for us," Raiders coach Jim Russell said. "Defensively, holding a team to 49 points on the road is big. C.J. had a really nice game, shooting the ball and defensively."
The Raiders held Mesabi to 39 percent shooting from the field while forcing 24 turnovers in what turned into an early rout as CLC took a 39-15 lead at halftime.
Bam Glover and Brandon Stenger each contributed 10 points for CLC with Glover collecting eight rebounds and three steals.
