Rangerettes plan show

CROSBY -- The Crosby-Ironton Rangerettes dance team and Coach Debby Goble will present the winter show "Dance Your Heart Out" at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Woock gymnasium at Crosby-Ironton High School.

The show will feature the C-I Rangerettes in several routines, as well as guest performances by the Brainerd Kixters, the Aitkin All-Stars, Just for Kix, Heartland Studio and other area dance groups.

Tickets are available at the door. Cost is $4 for adults, $2 for students and free for children 5 and younger. All proceeds will go to the Rangerettes for their upcoming sectional and state meets.

LF program wins grant

LITTLE FALLS -- The Little Falls-based Initiative Foundation, a regional resource for grant making, economic development and planning, has been awarded a $500,000 McKnight Foundation award for investments in children, youth and families.

Tri-County Community Action Program in Little Falls was awarded $208,000 for administrative and loan funds for the Family Loan program by the McKnight Foundation.

Cass County/Leech Lake Reservation Family Services was awarded $59,000 to continue welfare reform activities.
