Planning continued on moving the Crow Wing County Planning and Zoning office Tuesday as the county board agreed to another lease.

The board agreed to a lease with the Brainerd Elks Lodge to use the meeting room for Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment meetings at a cost of $300 per month. Additional meeting time could be added for additional cost. Planning and zoning offices are scheduled to move into the building used by the Elks on Fourth Street about a block from the courthouse.

About 600 trees became wood chips for Northland Arboretum trail maintenance following the Christmas tree recycling program, Solid Waste Coordinator Doug Morris reported.

The moratorium task force will meet 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Meeting Room One in the Service Building just off Laurel Street. Board Chairman Terry Sluss said the task force is on schedule with the next meeting to look at the Unorganized Territory Comprehensive Plan and the following meeting set to develop policy and zone boundaries and development standards.
