The missing gift

School is back in session and the Christmas decorations have been put away. Many of us are using the latest high-tech device that we got for Christmas or we're proudly wearing new clothes that were a holiday gift. Many of our Kinship kids are still waiting for a special gift - the gift of time spent with an Adult Partner.

Larry is one of the boys on Kinship's waiting list. He is 11 and attends Forestview Middle School. His favorite subjects are math, science and gym. Larry enjoys all types of sports, likes animals and loves being outdoors. He lives with his mom, an older brother and a younger sister in Brainerd; his dad lives out of state. Larry is quiet and shy until he gets to know a person and then he can be very talkative. Larry says, I need someone else in my life that will lead me in the right direction, besides my mom. A younger sports-minded guy would be an ideal partner for him.
