Alice M. Espeseth

AITKIN - Alice M. Espeseth, 85, of Aitkin, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at Aitkin Health Services, Aitkin. She was born April 6, 1922, in Hazelton Township, Aitkin County, to Bill and Agnes (May) Copley. On Sept. 25, 1941, Alice was united in marriage to Oscar Espeseth in Aitkin. She worked for a time at the Aitkin hospital. She enjoyed auction sales, cooking, baking, music and loved her family and the Lord. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Aitkin.

Alice is survived by her husband, Oscar; seven children and their spouses, Kermit (Charlene), of Aitkin, Omar (Mary), of Bay Lake, Dave (Dorothy), of Aitkin, Larry (Dawn), of Aitkin, Linda (Dan) Danielson, of Aitkin, Lenny (Joellen), of Aitkin, Gary (Carrie), of Crosslake; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a brother, Art Copley; and one sister, Sylvia Copley, both of Aitkin; besides many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a stillborn son; five brothers, Clarence, Ruben, William, Frank and George Copley; three sisters, Edna Jacobs, Ella Thomas, Minnie Copley; and her parents, Bill and Agnes (May) Copley.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Assembly of God Church, Aitkin. The Rev. Dan Turner and the Rev. Don Norman will officiate. Burial will be in Bennettville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
