The Pierz Pioneers varsity boys' basketball team won the Shortstop Christmas Classic championship Dec. 27-29 at St. Cloud Cathedral for the second year in a row, beating Sauk Rapids 66-65, Concordia Academy 68-63 and Sauk Centre 64-42.
