Prime NORTH GMAC helps needy children

NISSWA - Agents from Prime NORTH GMAC Real Estate in Nisswa collected toys for needy children for Christmas For Kids, a local nonprofit organization.

Agents Curt Lovitz, Barb Anderson, Marlys Meyer, Cindy Holden, Sherri Shepard and Patrick Buckley organized and manned this year's toy drive.

It was the 12th annual toy drive hosted at Wal-Mart, which generally collects $5,000 to $7,000 in toys in a day. The toys, combined with other charitable donations, are wrapped by volunteers and then delivered on Christmas Eve.

Bi-CAP to host homebuyers workshop

BEMIDJI - Bi-County Community Action Programs Inc. is offering a homebuyers workshop Jan. 20, 22 and 27 at the Bemidji Bi-CAP office.

The workshop will teach attendees what they need to know to be more confident homebuyers and what current loans and assistance programs are available.

The workshop is $25 per household and applications are due Jan. 19. Applications are available at the Bi-CAP office or by calling Teri at Bi-County CAP, Inc., at (218) 333-9867 or (800) 332-7161, extension 143.

Bi-CAP is a nonprofit organization that provides various support programs to Beltrami and Cass counties.
