FERGUS FALLS - Katherine Mueller placed first in the girls' race for the Brainerd Warriors with a time of 19:02 as they competed in a 5-kilometer classic race at the Fergus Falls Invite on Tuesday.
Warriors coach Nicole Kellerman said Mueller "is continuing to prove that she's a classic champion and I'm excited to see what she does at sections."
The Brainerd girls finished in third place with 41 points. The Warriors' Hannah McAllister also had a notable performance, finishing seventh at 20:20.
The Warrior boys' team secured second place with 45 points and were the closest contender behind Bemidji's first-place 20.
Brainerd's Pat Mangan and Jimmy Dean each finished in the top 10. Mangan was fifth and Dean ninth.
