APPLE VALLEY -- Dakota United defeated the Brainerd Warriors adapted floor hockey team 2-1 Thursday.
The Warriors, in their first game of the season, started slowly as Dakota United jumped to a 2-0 lead after one period.
Adam Thiel scored Brainerd's lone goal, on an assist from Chris Jordan, at 6:08 of the third period.
"We dominated the last two periods, but Dakota United has the best chair-goalie I've ever seen," Warriors coach Bruce Thompson said.
