BAXTER -- The Initiative Foundation and the Central Minnesota Housing Partnership will host an affordable housing workshop 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at Lakewood Evangelical Free Church in Baxter.
Keynoting this interactive workshop will be Warren Hanson, president and CEO of the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund. Hanson has more than 30 years of professional experience in housing, economic development, city planning, public policy and public administration.
Attendees also will have an opportunity to participate in a panel discussion with statewide housing experts and successful practitioners. Panelists will represent such affordable housing alternatives as prison construction, school construction, volunteer endeavors, employer-assisted programs, manufactured housing cooperatives and experimental concepts.
