PEQUOT LAKES -- The 20th annual Miss Pequot Lakes-Crosslake Scholarship Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Pequot Lakes School auditorium.
The Pequot Lakes Woman's Club is the sponsor of the Miss Pequot Lakes-Crosslake Scholarship Pageant. Six young women will compete for the Miss Pequot Lakes-Crosslake title.
Candidates are Erica Generux, the daughter of Barb Generux; Julie Bolton, the daughter of Larry and Susan Bolton; Jenna Carlson, the daughter of Leah and Galen Carlson; Michelle Demcho, the daughter of David and Katie Demcho; Kristin McSherry, the daughter of Sheri McSherry; and Tiffany Varilek, the daughter of Nola and Roger Varilek. Escorts are Melinda Rudland, Angela Villella, Maggie Bungert, Cassie Kepner, Katelyn Schmidt and Colleen Kennedy.
Several scholarships will be awarded: $1,000 to Miss Pequot Lakes-Crosslake, $500 to the Princess, $300 for interview, $300 for talent and $300 for Miss Congeniality.
Kevin Kuhne will serve as master of ceremonies. Bobbi Richards, a former Miss Pequot Lakes, will be the choreographer.
Tickets are $2 for ages 12 and under and $4 for ages 13 and older.
