Mildred Adeline Zimmerman, 82, Brainerd, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Elgin, N.D., to Julius and Millie (Dahlen) Heil. She graduated from Cleveland High School in North Dakota in 1936. She attended Trinity Hospital School of Nursing in Jamestown, N.D., becoming a registered nurse in 1939. She worked in data processing for Safeway Stores in Denver. She married Lyle Weed in 1942. She married Glen Zimmerman in 1963. She moved to Brainerd in 1995.
Survivors include a half sister, Doris Heil; a half brother, Robert Heil; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Glen; a daughter, Dorothy Halvorson; two brothers, Julius H. Heil, and an infant brother; and an infant sister died earlier.
Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Good Samaritan Village Chapel with Father Seamus Walsh and Pastor Lilja Behr officiating. Burial will be in Cleveland, N.D., Cemetery..
