Pillager Community Education classes listed

PILLAGER -- Pillager Community Education offers classes for adults and children, education enrichment or special interest programs.

Adult programs:

Adult Recreational Basketball -- 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays, Pillager High School gym, now through March 20. Fee: $1 per night.

Chinese Cooking -- 5:30-7 p.m. March 4, Pillager Home Economics Room. Fee: $8 per person. Maximum of 10 people.

Stamping Class -- 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 4, Pillager Media Center. Fee: $7 per person.

CPR Class -- 6-9 p.m. Feb. 25 and 26, Pillager Media Center. Fee: $48. Fee also includes keychain bag mask for participants to keep.

CPR Refresher Course -- 6-9 p.m. March 4. Fee: $21.

Kavanaugh Classic Class -- 6-9 p.m. Jan. 30, Kavanaugh's Restaurant (four miles north of Brainerd on Highway 371, then seven miles west on Pine Beach Road/County Road 77). Fee: $25. The class needs a minimum of 12 people but no more than 18 for Chef Tom Kavanaugh to prepare some of his favorite recipes, including soups, appetizers, entrees and desserts.

Child programs:

Elementary and high school open gym -- 7-9 p.m. Saturdays, Pillager High School and elementary gyms, now through March 23 (no class Saturday, Jan. 19, Feb. 23 or March 16). Fee: $1 per night.

Supersitter Class -- 3:15-4:30 p.m. March 18 and 19, Pillager Media Center. Fee: $5 per person. Participants must attend both sessions.
