Lynn Boyd

Lynn "Lenny" Boyd, 66, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, Minn. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Southern Nevada Veteran's Cemetery.

Lenny was born on Dec. 26, 1942, son of Gene and Evelyn (Hoon) Boyd in Chicago. He grew up and attended high school in the Chicago area. He served in the Navy. He has lived in Brainerd for the past 40 years. He was a truck driver with North Star Trucking Co.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Myrna Boyd, of Brainerd, Minn.; daughters, Katherine (Nelson) Belez and Mary (Sal) Morales, of Chicago; son, Robert (Rosita) Boyd, of Franklin Park, Ill.; step-daughters, Denise Bakkila and Gerri Flood, of Brainerd, Minn.; sisters, Renee (Michael) Maze, of Las Vegas, and Beverly Johnson, of Bensonville, Ill.; eight grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Lenny is preceded in death by his parents; brother, August Graf; and brother-in-law, Ralph Johnson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel, of Baxter.
